狗万app報告:Kinetic Instabilities in Electrocatalysis: Model Surfaces and Numerical Simulations

報告摘要: Electrochemical systems comprise a very fertile field to study complex behavior. By finely adjusting two parameters, potential and current, it is possible to access different states of the system and study the emergence of dynamic self-organization. By doing so, one can understand the role of different species and gain insight into the most relevant steps of the process. In this article, it reviewed the complex behavior that emerges in the electrooxidation of fuels usually employed in fuel cells, namely, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, and small organic molecules. It is also briefly revised the emergence of voltage oscillations in real fuel cells and the discussion of its impact on the functioning of such devices. Some perspectives for future developments are also provided.

報告人簡介:Hamilton Varela 教授現任職於巴西聖保羅大學化學系和電化學研究中心副主任 ,在德國馬克斯-普朗克研究所諾貝爾化學獎得主Gerhard Ertl指導下獲得博士學位  ,2008年以來在巴西聖保羅大學電化學研究中心先後任助理教授、副教授、教授和副主任。主要研究方向爲電催化機理、電催化系統非線性動力學 ,在Phys. Rev. Lett., Chem. Commun., Nano Energy, J. Phys. Chem. C, J. Electrochem. Soc., Electrochim. Acta等主流狗万app期刊上發表電化學狗万app論文115篇,2010年以來與狗万app系統化學與活性物質課題組合作指導兩名研究生獲得博士學位。
